My Most Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that everyone has questions, so we created a page with some of the most frequently asked questions for Alena.

HOW LONG DO CANDLES BURN FOR?

Our recommendation is no longer than 4 hours at a time. However, the candles depend on the size you purchase.

WHAT IF MY CANDLE BREAKS IN TRANSIT?

If your candles break along the way, with standardized proof, we will send you a new one free of charge! Contact us for more information if your shipping issue is specific or different.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

As of now, we are in the pre-order stage of our orders. It should take 5-6 business days from the order date to complete your order, then another 1-3 typically to ship. 

Typical shipping times are between 1-5 business days in Canada and 5-7 business days in the USA. Actual delivery times depend on origin, destination, weather conditions and other factors. For those of you located in the GTA, let us know, and we will personally deliver if time permits.  Email us before you place your order. 

For international orders, shipping costs are calculated by weight and volume. We do not charge any additional fees or overhead for packaging. You may be charged applicable duties, fees and taxes by the shipping carrier that are outside of our control.

RETURNS

We offer returns on any candle that has not been burned. If for some reason you do not want a product once it has shown up please email me for a return label. Unfortunately, we do not allow returns for candles that have been burned or used to test the scent.

SHIPPING

We offer local shipping costs determined by Canada Post.

WICK TRIMMING :

Before lighting up your candle, trim the wick to 1/4. This will prevent your candle from burning too quickly while keeping the scent throw to the best quality possible.

How long do the candles burn for?

The actual burn time of our candles may vary depending on the candle’s size. The use of wooden wicks within our candles also adds a few extra hours of burn time.

Our candles come in a range of sizes, each with its own approximate burn time. Find the perfect fit for you and enjoy a long-lasting, fragrant experience.

Here are Alena’s candle sizes and their approximate respective burn times:

  • 4 oz: 20-25 hours of burn time
  • 8 oz: 40-45 hours of burn time
  • 10 oz: 50-55 hours of burn time
  • 16 oz: 86-90 hours of burn time

Our recommended burn duration is no longer than 3 hours at a time, with a maximum burn time of 4 hours at a time for 10 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz candles. Note: Taking good care of your candle will help improve the duration of burn time.
