IMPORTANT: NEVER LEAVE A CANDLE BURNING UNATTENDED. Burn within sight, away from flammable objects, children, and pets. Follow these guidelines to ensure safe usage:
- Burn on a heat-safe surface.
- Avoid drafts.
- For best results, burn until the wax melts evenly across the candle, but DO NOT exceed 2-4 hours at a time.
- Keep the wax pool free of debris.
- Keep the wick centered and trimmed to 1/4 inch each time the candle is lit.
- Stop burning the candle when 1/2 inch of wax remains.
- Do not move or touch the candle while it is lit.
- Containers will be VERY HOT on the outside while lit and shortly after extinguishing.

Candle Safety
Candle safety is extremely important. Alena’s does not take any responsibility for any damages or direct, indirect, or consequential loss caused by the use of our products.
Use of Candles
All Alena’s products are used at your own risk. We offer refunds or replacements at our own discretion, which is the extent of our liability. Returns are on a case-by-case basis only due to the nature of the products. Any “made to order” item cannot be returned. Made-to-order items include our specialty candles.
Burn Time and Dimensions
The actual burn time of our candle products depends on a number of ambient factors. All product dimensions are to the nearest centimeter and are subject to change without notice.
Shipping
Currently, we ship to addresses in Canada and the United States. We use Canada Post as our primary service. Shipping fees are flat rates based on the Canada Post rate chart and calculated using zip code/country and weight.
PRODUCTION TIME FOR ALL HANDMADE ITEMS IS 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS. ALL ITEMS SHIP AFTER THE LISTED PRODUCTION TIME. CHOOSING A FASTER SHIPPING OPTION WILL NOT DECREASE THE TIME THE PRODUCT IS MADE – IT WILL ONLY DECREASE THE NUMBER OF DAYS THE PACKAGE IS IN TRANSIT TO YOUR ADDRESS.* UNLESS WE ARE AT THE CNE & other long markets.

Packing Slips, Sales Receipts & Recycling
We are doing our best to minimize our footprint on this world. We utilize recyclable materials, biodegradable resources, and minimal packing materials in our shipments. We do not include a paper packing slip or sales receipt in keeping with this theme. We will, however, email one to you at the address provided.
We also ask our customers to help with recycling. The cardboard boxes can be reused or taken to a recycling center.
Our candle jars can be recycled wherever glass containers are accepted. The jars can simply be washed with soap and water and then used for any purpose you see fit, such as food storage, pen cups, bobby pin holders—the possibilities are endless. Thank you for your support and efforts!

Wholesale and Bulk Orders
For all wholesale or bulk orders at Alena’s, lead time and shipping costs will vary based on the quantity ordered. Please allow approximately 7-10 business days for processing. Note that free shipping does not apply to wholesale or bulk orders.
Shipping and Delivery
Alena’s is not responsible for stolen packages or any lost items that can be tracked and marked as delivered. Please ensure that you have provided the correct mailing address before placing your order. If an incorrect address has been submitted, contact us immediately before your item leaves the shop. If the item has been shipped to the wrong address due to an incorrect entry, any additional costs for replacement will be at the buyer’s expense.
Carrier Responsibility
Alena’s is not responsible for errors made by carriers. If your item is delayed past the estimated arrival time according to tracking, you may contact the carrier directly to file a complaint.
